PropertyProof
Terms of Use
Last updated: August 10, 2026
In short: PropertyProof is a documentation tool, not an inspection service. Your records live on your device, and you are responsible for keeping them and for how you use them. The app is provided as-is.
These terms apply when you use the PropertyProof app. By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
1. What PropertyProof is — and is not
PropertyProof helps you record and present the observed condition of a property using photos, notes, condition ratings, and signatures, and to generate a PDF report from what you recorded.
PropertyProof is not a professional inspection service. It does not perform, certify, or validate structural, electrical, plumbing, gas, fire-safety, environmental, pest, valuation, or legal inspections. It makes no assessment of a property’s safety, habitability, compliance, or value. A report records what the person using the app chose to document at the time. Any conclusion drawn from a report is yours, not ours.
2. Your responsibilities
- The accuracy and completeness of what you record.
- Having the right to enter a property, to photograph it, and to record the people and belongings in it.
- Complying with the laws that apply to you, including tenancy, deposit-scheme, evidence, and data-protection rules in your jurisdiction.
- Obtaining any consent required before collecting someone’s signature, name, or contact details.
- Keeping your own copies of anything you need to retain.
3. Your data and your device
PropertyProof stores your work on your device. We operate no servers and hold no copy of your data, so we cannot recover it for you. Data is included in the encrypted device backup you have configured with Apple, but backups are Apple’s service, not ours, and we do not guarantee that any backup exists or can be restored. Export important reports somewhere you control. Uninstalling the app, erasing the device, losing the device, or running out of storage can make your records permanently unavailable.
4. Signatures and acknowledgements
The app can capture a handwritten signature together with a signer’s name and role. A signature captured in PropertyProof records that the signer was given the opportunity to review the report. It is not, by itself, agreement with the contents, a legally binding contract, or a certification of anything. Whether such a signature has legal effect where you operate is a question for you and your legal adviser.
5. Cost
This version of PropertyProof is provided free of charge, works fully offline, and contains no advertising, no subscription, and no in-app purchases.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use PropertyProof to record people or property unlawfully, to harass anyone, to fabricate or alter evidence with intent to mislead, or in any way that breaks the law where you are. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its name, and its design remain ours. The content you create — your photos, notes, and reports — remains entirely yours. We claim no licence over it, and could not use it in any case, because we never receive it.
8. No warranty
PropertyProof is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will preserve your data.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profit, revenue, business, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use PropertyProof — including any dispute in which a report generated by the app is used. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always published at this address with its date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
